This thread had some great ways to save some money (both real and credits), and how to set up your stronghold to make life much, much easier (thanks to Foviel and Toirrdelbach for showing me when I returned!).

Tonight, I pulled mods out of my bound 208 gear. The mods say they're bound. However, if you put them into a bound-to-legacy item, it becomes bound to the legacy instead of the character. It's a great way to move your old 208 mods from one toon to the next when you gear up to 216 and higher. Note that armorings are specific to the location they came from. For instance, head armorings have to go into another headpiece, glove armorings have to go into another glove, etc. It'll save you a lot of crystals as you gear up multiple toons.

This apparently  can be used also in PvP for mirroring classes (e.g. Consulars/Inquisitors) so that you can move gear between the two sides easily.

I didn't realize that putting a bound mod into a legacy piece would allow you to move it to legacy!!  This is really helpful information.  When I think of all the 208 mods I have destroyed or sold.......**cries**

I read about it in a PvP guide (or in the linky above--can't remember which, or maybe both). It recommended saving the 208 PvP shells for the next toon.

It's also a very good way to move around the purple enhancements and mods to get the right mix to max out the appropriate stats. I like Force Lord stats on my Infiltrator shadow, but I want to switch a few things out to max the crit.
